It’s 2030. I’m leaving home for a vacation with my family. We were heading to the airport by our autopilot flying electric car to catch our flight to Bali, Indonesia. In the car we were watching movies as the trip takes about 1 hour from our home. As the movie went on, our eyes were all on the screen as the Decathlon commercial popped up! It was a very unique and innovative product of the hiking sport, a huge do-it-yourself tent complete with a simple kitchen setup which comes with a solar charger that sets in just 5 seconds, and it’s so small it can fit in a 5 liter bag, amazing! My wife ordered it right away using the Decathlon apps, with a one hour drone delivery addressed to our live location (using her phone’s GPS). We arrived at the airport parking lot 1 hour later. When we got our luggage out of the trunk, we heard a hum. It was the drone delivering our superb tent! We quickly put the tent in our luggage and headed straight to the boarding gate. A few hours later our flight took off and we arrived in Bali in less than half an hour. The first thing we did once we got at our chalet was to pitch the tent in the backyard, 5 seconds, and we’re all set! We enjoyed the holiday so much that we spent more time with the family and at the same time we can still enjoy a beautiful view of nature, thanks to the technological advancement that respects the ecological system!

It’s 2030, I leave my home when I have to move or travel to another country, another city, without any border, any limitations like a visa, a passport, without anyone forbidding me to pass. I go where people need me, depending on what I can bring, no matter who I am: it doesn’t matter if I am a woman, a man or anyone else, my skin color, how I dress, my religion, my social class, my tastes and/or preferences etc. Everything flows: I talk to everyone, I have access to all the information I need, I act without fear and without judging and without being judged. See you in 2030: totally, without borders mentally or physically.

It’s 2030, I’m leaving home when I make my weekly delivery of everything I rented last week to live, eat, dress, cook, use, cook, play sports, rest, have fun, work etc. I don’t own everything I own. We share everything for community use. Everything is recycled, repaired and reused. In addition, I take care of my physical and mental health and my planet, through my daily exercise which allows me to generate renewable and natural energy: I dance, cycle, I run and my energy creates energy.

I am in the month of 2030 when I change my snow clothes for my summer clothes and all I have to do is to collect all the clothes I will no longer use and take them to my favorite store. It doesn’t matter which one because now all the stores use the circular economy. In other words, I can leave my sports clothes to be reused as a raw material, in return I get a bonus on my new purchases, with this we have contributed to the reduction of climate change because we consume less natural resources. We have other advantages thanks to my sports practice, that I can generate energy and accumulate it for different uses in everyday life. Today, the world is sustainable because we consume what we really need and when we really need.

It’s 2030, I am 27-year-old woman. I check my schedule for the day and get my things ready to leave my house. The first thing I am going to do is to help my neighbour. Every Monday, I will bring milk to my 80-year-old neighbour and I take the opportunity to talk with her about how her life is going and what she’s going to do today. She says she has nothing to do and feels lonely, so I decide to bring her with me to my next stop. We’re going to visit a young woman who broke down her bike and I will show her how to repair it. The happy grandmother shares stories about her youth and how her life was with her children. We laugh a lot while we finish repairing the bike. We start to get hungry and we decide to have lunch. We bring some drinks to complement the meal and the grandmother decides to make a cake for dessert. The lunch made the grandmother sleepy so I take her back home. Then I go on with my daily activities. I volunteer at a school to teach English and my students are waiting for me. I spend two hours with them, we have fun and we learn a lot while playing. After class I like to do my favourite sport, I take out my skates and join the other people in the park, we are of all ages and we share a lot since we all come from different parts. We exchange on many topics and it helps us to have more general knowledge about everything, that drives us to be better people and to know how to listen to others. Learn from older people and develop them thanks to younger people.
It’s 2030, I leave the house when the clock strikes 10 o’clock. I get on a sun-powered scooter and rush to work. On the way, I stop to pick up freshly squeezed kale juice from a mobile shop. It’s Monday, so it’s a basketball day at work. Everyone in the office is dressed for sports, because at 12 we play on the roof of our skyscraper. We can set virtual baskets, goals, nets on our pitch – anything we want. Every day we have a different sport to make everyone happy. Thanks to participation in sport, we collect coins for food (fit food), and once a month the pool of collected coins can be exchanged for training with the star of a given sports discipline. We only work 4 hours, the rest of the time we spend together practicing sports and exchanging experiences. Our office is one big showroom that changes every day and it is never boring. Do you want to join?
On my iPhone 40 I get a challenge from my friend at work to take part in the sports challenge of our team on the way, which consists in winning the game in tennis with Agnieszka Radwańska. I fire up the iSport Deca application and connect with Agnieszka in real time to give me practical tips before the game. I inform her that I have 15 minutes and 10 minutes at the bus stop waiting for the bus. Agnieszka gives me advice, and I take out the virtual Google and hand sensors from my purse (everything weighs 100g – the size of a powder that I always have with me). While waiting for the electric bus, I start a virtual game with Agnieszka Radwańska, who cheers me on by providing personalized advice and praise. After 9 minutes, it reminds me that our game is about to end – I know the result, how many calories I have burned, what level I am at, what impact it had on my health and what I should eat after the game (where can I buy it and who is it will bring). Agnieszka offers me the purchase of equipment adequate to my level of advancement, proposing places to play tennis in my area, which I can use after work.

It’s 8.30 p.m. and I’m leaving home to catch a plane to Somalia. I go there in order to create an organization for the practice of sport, inclusive for all those who want to participate. When I arrive at the airport, I present my project at the check-in. It’s a validated project that allows me to embark. The project consists of the creation of a sustainable sports campus, with integrated accommodation and whose only condition of access is the desire to practice sport. Using cutting-edge technology, this sport will generate energy to support the campus and its entire community.
